Tara McKelvey

Tara McKelvey is a frequent contributor to the New York Times Book Review and author of Monstering: Inside America’s Policy on Secret Interrogations and Torture in the Terror War, which former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski has described as “a shocker...an indictment of an administration in which no senior official has been held accountable for acts that stained America’s escutcheon.” She has been a research fellow at New York University School of Law’s Center on Law and Security, an Ochberg Fellow with the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma, a Hoover Media Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, and most recently a fellow in the Templeton-Cambridge Fellowship in Religion and Science program and in Johns Hopkins University’s International Reporting Project.
